- Password (stored only as a secure hash — we never store or can read your plain-text password)

- Resume information entered by you
- Uploaded profile photo (optional)
- Payment information (transaction reference and payment status only)
- Subscription details
- Device and browser information, for security purposes
- IP address, for fraud prevention and security logging
1.2 How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to:
- Create and manage your account
- Build resumes and store resume drafts
- Generate PDFs
- Process subscriptions
- Provide AI-powered features for eligible paid users
- Improve platform security
- Prevent fraud and abuse
1.3 AI Processing
AI features are available only on paid subscriptions.
When you use an AI feature, the text you submit — such as job descriptions, experience, skills or resume content — may be sent to our AI infrastructure provider, Groq, to generate a response. Groq processes this text only to return the generated result and does not use it to train its own models on our behalf.
Typical AI features include:
- Resume summary generation
- Bullet point generation
- Resume refinement
- ATS optimization
- Skills suggestions
- Cover letter generation
1.4 Data Storage & Retention
During the active period of your account, your resume information is stored securely.
After one (1) year of inactivity, or in accordance with our data-retention schedule, the following are permanently deleted:
- Resume content
- AI history
- Uploaded resume files
- Temporary payment records
- Temporary generated documents
The following profile information may be retained beyond that point:

No advertising cookies are required to use Kartexa.

1.7 User Rights
You may, at any time:
- Update your profile information
- Delete resumes
- Download your resumes

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Continued use of the platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the latest version.
